Dress ups and "going shopping"

Multiple times a day the girls will put on every dress-up they own, get their back-packs AND their purses and tell me they are "going shopping." then the following conversation occurs....
I ask, "Where are you going shopping?"
They say, "Costco."
Then they say, "Bye, see ya next week."
They go in the next room and I continue chatting with Rockwell and two minutes later the come back and say "Eyla back now."
Yes Raya says "Eyla back now," too. When asked her name she says Raya but in sentences she refers to herself as Eyla. And both of them can not speak in first person they always talk in 3rd person. I am seriously questioning my mothering skills.
And when I ask Raya to smile for the camera she doesn't smile but just squints her eyes like that....everytime.

Just cute

These pictures are kinda old but so cute. My girls are always asking if they can hold Rockwell. They always let me know if he cries and gripes and they'll talk to him and rub him head to sooth him. They are always trying to entertain him even when I am trying to feed him. They are such good big sisters. The cutest is that they call him "little Rockwell man."

Thumb of Pacifier?

I have never given any of my babies a pacifier (and never will). However, is that better than a thumb? Afterall you can take a pacifier away if it becomes a habit. Rockwell has sucked his thumb since the day he was born. I get done feeding him and he immediately finds his thumb. Don't worry it's not because he is hungry, anyone who has seen him knows he isn't lacking food. I worry that he will turn 4 or 5 have a shrunken thumb and have to be persuaded with a barbie blender (marilyn :)) in order to stop the habit. If it gets to that I will definitely find a more manly toy to persuade him to stop. Though I worry about it becoming a habit right now I find it absolutely adorable and can't get enough of him smacking away on his thumb.

Good Mornings

This is my alarm clock. He provides a wake-up call anytime between 5 and 8 am. I curse the days it close 5 and love the days it is closer to 8. After I feed him I put him in our bed where he falls back asleep really good, it is amazing to me how my babies totally know the difference between their crib and my bed. He smiled right when I took this picture it was so perfect.
Next I find Raya who has been up for a while now, bright as the sunshine. She is a morning person if I have ever met one, always happy and sweet as can be. We play for a while and then attempt to go and get Eyla out of bed.
Eyla, not a morning person, just whines and rolls over and so we go back and play and wait for her to come to us on her own time.

Fat is the new cute!!

This is our chunky little guy, his eyes are to die for, he has the most kissable cheeks in town, and I could just snuggle that little gut all day long.

Pants are not hats

unless you are Raya............

I pretty much have a hard time keeping clothes on this girl lately period. She does the funniest stuff sometimes. This was so cute to me how she took of her pants and put them on her head like that.

My Little Dancer

This is Eyla all ready to go to dance, she couldn't wait she talked about it for days and days how she was going to dance class on Wednesday.

Warming up and waiting for the rest of her class to get there and start. If you can believe it she can say and do an arabesque. She also knows saute, pointing her toes, turning, and a bunch of tap moves.
She is a generally happy little gal. But I have never seen her grin from ear to ear for 45 minutes straight until she was in dance class. It was one of the best mom moments I have had, letting her experience and find something she loves.

Our first Christmas Tradition

Christmas 2006. Me and my loves first Christmas together. For some reason I had always wanted to sleep underneath a Christmas tree. So nestled in our tiny little first apartment we pulled out all our blankets and pillows which wasn't too many and made a relatively comfortable little bed under our first Christmas tree and snuggled the night away and talked about how we would make that a tradition with our kids (as I felt our first sweet baby kicking away at my belly). However, sadly we didn't make it a tradition....until now. We missed our 2nd and 3rd Christmases but this year, our 4th Christmas season together we slept underneath the tree with our 3 beautiful babies. It was so fun to watch them stare at the shining lights as they laid there on their belly's with their little chin resting in their little hands.

future mommies

Her pretty little head

No matter what Raya's hair looks like this every morning and then within 2 or 3 hours after I comb it and do it, it looks like this again (and this doesn't even do it justice).

She also had this phase where everything edible was also used as a scalp treatment. This is applesauce, but chocolate pudding was also a favorite.

She thinks she's a super model

With her "relly" (Cindrella) glass slippers and everything.
This is my favorite, Raya came over and started copying all the poses Eyla was doing for me.

Sharing is Caring

The other day I was vacuuming and I turned around and saw this. Eyla was sharing Emma (her baby) and Polly (her pink bear, dressed in her baby's clothes) with Rockwell.

She was so proud of herself.
The sharing must be inspired by the Care Bears movie they recently checked out from the library. As they fry their eyes out of their heads by sitting about 3 inches away from the screen they just can't get enough of those lovable bears.

Lately...

Rockwell. Growing so fast. I weighed him this morning on our home scale and it probably isn't right on but I know it is close because he is growing crazy fast... 9 lbs already!!

Snuggle time with Eyla.

Kisses from Raya.

They love playdough, we go through it like crazy because we play with it for hours everyday and it dries out pretty fast, but this is one of their favorite things, making jewelry and crowns out of it.

Movie night.

Frosting Halloween sugar cookies with their best pals Natty and Rylie.
I had to leave early to teach a class at a Relief Society thing one Saturday morning. Perry let them pick out their own outfits. Raya got it down but Eyla just picks out her two favorite peices and doesn't care if they match (I usually let them pick out their own outfits just with a little supervision). My favorite part is that he didn't even attempt Eyla's hair and it's still in the day befores ponytail thats why it's crazy but he did throw the clip in Rayas hair. When I got home and they were chasing him around and they looked so cute I had to get some pictures. He is the best dad I love him.
