Things we do….

Throw killer birthday parties.

Grandpa turned….

Well, I know there is only 1 candle on those cupcakes but he definitely turned more than 1.

The kids helped him blow out his candles.

They helped him open his presents.

I had to post this particular picture because this is what Rockwell does if you say to him “Let me see you,” or “Smile for the camera.”  The little cheeser.

…..

Raya and Rockwell did this to my computer.

This entire picture isn’t sideways, the information on the screen of my computer is.  It took Perry a whole evening to figure out how to fix it.  They were able to do it in about 2 minutes.

Speaking of Rockwell getting into things.  That is all he does these days.

But is still the cutest little man on the planet.

All ready for church.

He loves getting ready, when I say lets do your hair he runs to the bathroom and gets the gel.  After I put on his clothes he runs to the full length mirror in our room and poses.  Perry attributes that to having the 2 girliest sisters ever and is praying for another boy.

Did I say girliest sisters ever??  Ya, here is proof.  They had to get all dressed up just to watch the Barbie movie they checked out from the library.

…..

And we do nails all the time.  I paint their nails.

Then they do mine.

Raya does one foot.

And Eyla does the other.  It is amazing what a years age difference can do for a steady hand.

…..

So there is my picture overload and here is an update.

Eyla is growing so fast and getting so smart.  She started sunbeams this year and LOVES it.  Every Sunday her teacher tells me about something that she did good or that she volunteered to do, like draw a picture on the the white board or tell her favorite scripture story.  I love that she isn’t afraid to do it in front of the older kids.  Eyla informed me that she needs to train the boys to sit reverently like her in class. She can write her name all by herself and she can write anything else if I spell it for her, and if she doesn’t know or can’t remember a letter I’ll draw it on a different piece of paper and she’ll just copy what I drew.  She loves to write and draw all the time and is quite the little artist.  In general Eyla is a pretty perfect kid, except she is starting to learn how to work the system.  The other day her and Raya were avoiding picking up their toys after I had asked them to do it numerous times so I said, “Go to your room.”  She says, “That’s ok, I like mine room.”  So I said, “Ok, lets think of a different punishment, one that will make you sad.”  Raya, gets a scared look and says, “A spanking.”  Eyla says, “My room makes me sad,” and runs off to her room.  Needless to say she got a spanking.

Raya is growing fast and smart too.  She is now the queen bee of nursery, the oldest girl in there.  I was worried she wouldn’t like it without Eyla but I told her she has to go and help take care of all the younger kids.  The nursery leaders say she is sooooo good and such a good helper.  They say she helps clean up after snack time, want to know how, by going around and finishing up everyone elses food.  Yeah, that is my girl….literally.  And she somehow managed to come home with the leftover bag of marshmallows (still half full) from nursery last week.  Don’t know how she does it but always gets her way.  She has the cutest (and naughtiest) little whiny voice that she can turn on and off as fast as anything.  As proof by her nail painting skills her hand isn’t yet very steady and her letters aren’t much written out but she can spell her name for me.  And just so you know she is no longer a genius.  Remember the post about her telling Char she is a genius? (go here if you don’t)  Anyway, we had company down and Char was telling them that story.  So then Uncle Mark asked Raya, “So Raya are you a genius?”  To which she replied, “No, not anymore.”  Where does she get this stuff???

Rockwell is probably growing the fastest.  I miss my little baby, but every day he amazes me with the stuff he can say and do.  Some of his words: Mama, Dada, Eyla, Raya, Rock (it doesn’t really sound like Rock but I know that is what he is saying), Nama (means grandma and grandpa) Car, Hi, Hide (hide and seek is all of their favorite game), Cup, Ball, Ouch, No (he just started that one today), and he can tell you what a dog, duck, cow, and sheep says.  He can throw and kick, and he thinks he is so fast, and he is pretty fast.  He, like Raya, LOVES food and will often have 3 servings at meals.  Although he is really slimming down, he still eats like a fatty, but I know where all of it goes, too bad the burning calories thing doesn’t work as well for the one chasing him.  Besides him burning it off by constantly moving, he has the most killer diapers ever, I am not just saying that, they have have been witnessed by several people.   Basically it only takes about 2 hours for his dinner to show up in his diaper.  However, this is the exciting part, he is very interested in the potty.  He goes in the bathroom all the time puts the potty seat on the toilet and climbs up on the toilet.  Usually it is after the fact but at least he has the right idea.  I am terrified (and secretly grossed out) about having to potty train a boy, but seeing as he is into it I want to start moving in that direction.  So any advice would help.

Me and Perry are just the same, well, Perry is the same, I am about 40 lbs bigger and lazier.  The other day Perry came home and I was bathing the kids and I had taken off my jeans and shirt and thrown on a pair of cut-off sweat pants and shade shirt that was 2 sizes to small.  I still had my socks on and they were slunken halfway down my calves.  Nothing I was wearing was remotely matchable.  After a howdy and a kiss Perry said, “Hunny, I have to tell you I can’t believe how hic you look right now.”  I thought for a second about taking a picture for ya’ll but thought I would spare you, but mostly spare my dignity.  The good side (excuse) to this story is that I am 32 weeks along.  Let the countdown begin.
