Sweetness

I do not take any credit for my these babies sweetness, they just came this way!! Even more proof they come right from Heavenly Father.

EYLAS SWEETNESS

Me: (leaving for girls camp and on the verge of tears)  I love you I am going to miss you so much.

Eyla:  You take mine bear?

Me:  (now just flat out crying) No sweetie you keep it, thanks though.

Then she doesn’t say anything else she just hugs me and touches my cheek. Oh my, she is just heaven sent.

Eyla is also so tender hearted, whenever I get upset with them, she will say, “Momma don’t be mad, sorry I do that.”  Then I feel stupid because she really didn’t do anything bad I just lost my patients over nothing.  I hate when that happens.

RAYAS SWEETNESS

Raya is my little complimenter.  Everyday she comments on my outfit.  “Momma I like you green shirt.”  or “Momma, cute dress.”  or “Momma I like you pants, so cute.”

And when I called home from Girls Camp and told Raya “I miss you.”  She said, “I miss you too.” I had no idea that she understood the concept of the word “too.”

ROCKWELLS SWEETNESS

And Rockwell he doesn’t say much but he is still so sweet all the same.  He is such a Mommy’s boy and I am carrying him around constantly, and he is always snuggling up to me.  He also has these little games that he plays with just me, or he’ll make a sound for me and then just laugh at himself like he is the funniest guy in the world.  Which of course he is.

Painting Stuff

Sometimes we take our fun little projects down to the GreenTow shop so we can get some hang out time with daddy and pretend like we work as hard as he does.  This is the girls working on their “painting stuff.”

The girls painting their flower pot holders they made at Home Depot.

The finished product. They got to pick out their own paint color and flowers to plant, and it was so cute to see which ones they picked.

Personal Stylists

Some people are lucky enough to have a live in stylist……
I have 2.

My Little Marine

So I finally got the nerve up and buzzed his head, it took forever, he thrashed around and I got baby hair everywhere and I mean everywhere.  But it was totally worth it.  Just look at him, you’ll see.

Yes he is a tough guy and he doesn’t like holding hands but Eyla and Raya do and they have a better grip so far, just give Rockwell a few more months.

Idaho and Washington Adventures

CIMG1389_edited-2

So about a week and half ago my mother in law had to make a drive up to Spokane, WA to do some stuff for her parents who live up there.   I figured she shouldn’t be driving all that way alone and my kids hardly ever get to see their great grandparents Andres so I thought it would be fun to make it a big road trip.  However, anyone who knows me knows it was huge for me to purposely make myself be away from Perry for more that an 8 hours work shift.  I missed him terribly and it was  along week.  We decided Friday morning to go so we packed up really quick and left later that afternoon, Eyla and Raya couldn’t wait to leave so they go packing their stuff right away.  We hit road construction about 10 minutes outside of St. George and that made a 4 hour drive 7 hours.  We finally got to great grandma and grandpa Myers in Sandy late that night and then stayed up and played and talked even later.  Then me and the kids got to sleep in the quiet, cool, dark basement and didn’t wake up until about 10, it was awesome!  Then we hit the road and headed for Rexburg.

We stopped over there for Saturday night because Aunt Shay had a dance performance and we desperately needed to see her because we miss her so much.  We got these killer front row seats and the girls probably didn’t blink for the entire 1 1/2 hours.  It was especially special for them because the could see Shay really good and she look straight at them and smile.  By the way Shay danced amazing, she is so good, look out “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Lucky kids to have such a great Aunt.

It was so cute because Eyla really gets into the modern/lyrical/contemporary dancing whereas Raya really soaked in the irish/clogging stuff. You can see them doing their own separate styles.  Adorable.

Rockwell getting into it too. Cheering for Shay.

We went to church with Shay Sunday morning. Man was it hilarious to sit in a singles ward again.  I do not miss those days at all.  Then we hit the road again and drove 7 hours to Spokane.  This is where all the adventure begins.

Walks down by the river. You can’t really tell what the picture of the back of Eyla is but it is of her and her pet caterpillar.

Got to go on great grandpas boat on Coeur D’Lane.  Probably my favorite part of the trip.

I just love this picture

Had to add these because these are pictures I took of pictures of great grandma when she was Eylas age.  Eyla actually thought they were pictures of her at first.

Then Thursday night (the night before we headed home) we met up with Perry’s cousin Marianne at “Chunky” Cheeses (Great grandma kept calling Chucky Cheese, Chunky Cheese). Anyway, Marianne has little ones that are about the same age as my kids and so it was fun to see her and her little ones and let the kids try to play the games and use their coins to get tickets.

Then the unthinkable happened, helping the girls down from the carousel I dropped my camera and jammed the lens.  I am really really really very not happy about it.  So the rest of the pictures from our trip are either on my cell phone which don’t end up looking that great and I don’t usually download those to my computer or are borrowed pictures.  And why the last 3 days of our trip aren’t very well documented. Sadness.

Anyway, back to our adventures.  The morning after Chucky Cheese we hit the road and made it to Rexburg and spent the evening with Shay again at the park and stuff it was fun.  Then we drove down to Bountiful the next morning for the annual Myers 3rd of July swimming party and Uncle Scott and Aunt Tams.  It was a blast.

He doesn’t look that happy but he actually loves the water.

Racing Shay, yeah, she totally smoked me.

Drying off. Love them.

After swimming Scott let us all try out his Razor.  That was fun and I would totally rather have that than car.  Seriously.  Then we burnt some midnight oil to get home, after a potty accident and a throw-up we pulled into St. George and into Perry’s arms around 1 am.  All the accidents didn’t bother me a bit knowing that I was going to see Perry soon.  I don’t think I will ever voluntarily do that long of a trip again without him but it was fun and I did enjoy myself immensely.  Of course the kids thought it was entirely for them and are so ready for out next big road trip/party and I’m so there as soon as we get a motorhome :)!
