Rockwell Feet

CIMG1654

This is how he eats.

And this is what his feet look like after the bath.  He is starting to slim down but his feet are still as chubby as ever.  So is it the chubbier they are the harder the shrivel up??

Tuna Fish Sick

A couple weeks ago we had tuna sandwiches for lunch.  Later that day Raya threw up and dry heaved for a couple hours.  I wasn’t exactly sure but I thought I might have something to do with tuna.

So a few days ago I tried tuna again just to see if it really bothered her belly.  I was prepared because I fully expected she might throw up.  Which she did.  Needless to say I won’t be trying tuna on her again.

Anyway, after getting cleaned up she laid on the couch and watched Little Einsteins.  She wouldn’t put her bucket down in case she might throw up again, she was so careful for being so small.  It’s weird though because it doesn’t even bother Eyla or Rockwell, and I don’t know of anybody in either my or Perry’s family who is allergic to fish.  Now every time we start making lunch she says, “But no tuna.”

Poor little thing.

Eyla is always so good to her when she is sick, that night I found them like this when I went to check on them after they went to sleep.

Char finally has a sports buddy.

Hopeless and Genius

Eyla is hopeless

The other day for lunch I was trying to get Eyla to eat her raw broccoli by dipping it in ranch so I showed her to break off a little piece, dip it in ranch, and pop it in her mouth by demonstrating it myself.

She looked at me and said.  “Momma, it is hopeless.”

I didn’t know what to say, man is she dramatic, so all I said is, “Eyla it is not hopeless.”

I continued to clean up some of the kitchen and turned around to look at Eyla, and she said, “Mom, it is still hopeless.”

I just started laughing.  She laughed too and started eating her broccoli.

Raya is a genius

Char told me that this happened the other day while driving Raya to the library.

Raya said, “I am a genius.”

Char asked “Really? When did you find that out?”

Raya answered, “Last week, by accident.”

My kids say the awesomest things.

Raya really got into it and kept patting snow on him and rubbing him.  She didn’t push him over but with the warmth she didn’t really help and he toppled about 20 minutes after we made him.

This is the 2nd mini frosty we made.  He didn’t start out mini but the snow was so melty by now that the middle section crushed out when I put the head on.  Eyla was way upset by it, you can see in the picture she isn’t so happy about a small snowman.

It was fun to have snow but we are happy that Sunny St. George returned so quickly.

New Years Eve

CIMG0941_edited-2

Our girls are always asking us if they can stay up late (bedtime is usually 7:30-8:00).  So of course on New Years Eve we let them stay up late.  We had lots of fun eating treats and playing Candyland and Puzzles.  They made it to about 9:00 then crashed.  Then I snuggled next to my love and watched the New York ball drop at 10 laughed and chatted until about 11 and then I crashed.  It may sound like it was rather a lame New Years Eve, but I couldn’t imagine a better way to ring in the new year.

Christmas Joy

It is time to catch you all up on our Christmas Holiday.  It was awesome!!!

A few days before Christmas we slept under the tree.

We frosted Christmas sugar cookies, and I have to tell you they were probably the best cookies I ever ever made.  I altered a recipe I found online because I did not have time to do all the chilling the dough before rolling out stuff.  Maybe if your lucky I’ll get around to posting it.

Christmas Eve we ate a fancy dinner, every dinner since then the girls have asked if they could use grandmas fancy glass cups.

CIMG1732

We remembered why we have Christmas, that it is Jesus’ birthday and sang some songs.

 CIMG1739

Then they got new Christmas jammies (Rockwell did too he just needed a bum change first) and left cookies out for Santa.

Christmas Morning.

CIMG1762

Santa brought Rockwell a wagon, the girls barbies, and they all got stockings full of goodies.

They got headlamps in their stockings, he looks like a little miner.  Love it.

CIMG1780

Santa brought daddy an LED lantern.  So we have this thing about LED anything.  Our daughters can even tell the difference between LED and not or “old” Christmas lights.  When we would drive around looking at Christmas lights they would point out the houses that were LED and which were not.  LED is just better.

Eyla with her Black Beauty.  She currently has a thing for horses.

Raya sporting new brown boots and a new brown sweater.

We gave Rockwell some police gear so he could play dress-ups too.  Well, so far the girls have used them more.

We gave Eyla a pretty pony puzzle which she loves I just didn’t get a picture of her doing it on Christmas day although she did it about 100 times, just like she has everyday since then.

CIMG1788

We gave Raya got a Doctor Kit, she is obsessed with Dr. stuff and fixing people.  I don’t know where she got it but she would always use knick knacks from around the house to take my temperature and give me shots, now she is official.

The car garage thing from Great Grandma Andres, Rockwell plays with it constantly.

CIMG1827

All dolled up Christmas day, don’t be fooled by the cute jewelry, it sings and talks and is absolutely annoying.

CIMG1822

Rockwell, handsome as ever.

Going to bed and using their headlamps to read.

Christmas was pure joy.  As it should be.  Hope yours was as wonderful as ours.
