May is party party party month for us. Eyla turned 4, Raya turned 3, and Perry turned 28. Eeesh 28, I am married to an old man. But don’t worry he is married to an old woman according to Eyla. A conversation the other day went like this:
Eyla: “You is getting old.” (yes, she says is instead of are)
Me: “No I’m not! Why do you say that?”
Eyla: “Because you look old.”
Me: “…………….Awesome”
Technically I did ask, so the answer I got was my fault. I knew better. What made me think she would suddenly say, “I changed my mind, you is not old anymore.” When a kid thinks something they usually have a very practically reason for thinking it. So basically I look old.
What a fun month everyone turned a year older and I just started looking older. Like I said before…….awesome.
But really it was.
EYLA MAY
She requested a spaghetti dinner. It was delish.
Organizing her new jewelry box, it came with beads and string, and we have made jewelry galore. love it.
She got 2 chairs for her birthday, it was quite a week having 3 kids who want a special chair and only having 2 luckily a week later Raya got 2 chairs too. And I can not believe how old she looks in this picture, brushing her own hair and everything.
Char, our designated baby Ruby holder, that is until her baby is born in August. Tell me, does she really look 24 weeks pregnant??? No!! Beautiful Lady.
Watching a movie and sitting in the new chairs. I think they look like old ladies in a nursing home with their patchwork quilts and pillows.
Dressed up in their birthday outfits and ready for church.
RAYA LYNN
In-n-out as requested by her.
Betcha can’t guess what the big pink present is. Well all day Raya ran around saying, “I am getting a house for mine birthday.” I asked how she knew and she said because there is a roof, so I just said you’ll have to wait to see when you open it. I tried to save the birthday surprise but I think it was spoiled thanks to my excellent wrapping skills.
One of Rayas chairs. Ya, it was Ruby who had been fighting for one :).
The next morning she dressed herself in some of her new birthday stuff.
PERRY
His gifts consisted of chips, soda, candy, and a Gold’s Gym pass. Haha, it was a little hypocritical, but now he has all his 3 great loves…… Treats, Lifting, and Me.
To top May off we went on a fun hike for Memorial weekend. Shay came down with her boyfriend Justin. Who is great, and who Eyla and Raya can not get enough of. The only bummer part was that Perry had to work and couldn’t come on the hike.
We packed into the truck.
And drove to Kanarraville. Which is an adorable little town that we will live in someday.
Raya immediately ran ahead of everyone and said, “I am beating you.”
Eyla just ran at an easy pace and had fun until she encountered the occasional bug when she would scream and run the other way.
Rockwell ran his heart out but we still fell quite far behind as you can see.
He would not hold anyones hand.
We got to the water part of the hike threw in a few rocks and then let Shay, Justin, and Grandpa head upstream while we went and found a shady spot to wait.
This is what they braved in the icy stream.
While we enjoyed the sun.
Rockwell grubbed an entire king size snickers bar.
It was a blast.
