In general May is a pretty big party month for us. 3 out of the 5 of us have a birthday, plus it starts out with Mothers Day, which is awesome because it usually entails a nice massage and some sweet surprises for me. This year May was really fun because we had some fun visitors. Here is a documentation of the fantastic month.
Starting with Mothers Day
I always want to write stuff like “so you can’t tell me these aren’t the cutest kids ever,” but I know every mom feels that way, however, lets be honest…..the cutest…for real. I also wish you could all know them like me, not only are they the cutest, they are the sweetest, funniest, happiest, silliest, and incredible kids too. Oh, I think it is great to have something like Mothers Day but for me it isn’t really a necessary holiday, everyday is Mothers Day.
But to celebrate Perry got me a big 2x8 so I could paint it up and then use it as a measure stick. We have been trying to find a way to document our kids heights as they grow but we are so transient right now we didn’t want to use a wall so we came up with this idea.
First Visitors. Great Grandma and Grandpa Andres. They came down from Spokane to spend some time at their place in Overton, NV. One day they came up to St. George and then one day we got to go down to Overton to play. Rockwell getting to know them. He had croup during this visit but look how happy he is. He really is the most pleasant baby no matter how he is feeling. Man, I’m lucky.
In Overton riding the “four-leavers” (four wheelers) after a day of hard work. Well, Perry working hard (he did a bunch of yard work and gardening for them), us girls just played.
Party #1. Eyla turned 3 on May 12.
Good Morning angel.
Getting all dolled up for the big day.
We went to Jumping Jacks. It is a big warehouse full of bounce houses and blow up toys. They loved it.
Raya mostly played arcade. (Well, she thought she was playing, I wasn’t dishing out any quarters, thank heavens for that little imagination.)
Rockwell even joined in the fun.
They turned off the lights and turned on a disco ball and music and boy did they dance.
Me and Rockwell watched
Our darling friends who came with us. This really is the best picture we snapped of them, they were just so tired and worn out from playing so hard. Of course Brittany’s favorite ;) is the only one that is smiling.
When we go home Daddy and Eyla got to fly kites for a while.
Eylas stash
Opening her presents, her favorite that night was her new helmet and her current favorite is her sweet princess white board, thanks Aunt Cindy.
New blankie from Aunt Char, she also stocked Eyla up with some Fancy Nancy books. Good Job.
Awe, and Uncle Chayse, we keep him around cause he is married to Aunt Char :).
Raya enjoying some of those presents. She absolutely loved the new swim goggles.
Sharing with Little Rock Man
I really don’t think she could have been more delighted with the night.
The Cinderelly cake.
And I just love their faces in this. What are they doing? I don’t know but they are doing the exact same random thing it is hilarious.
She loved it
Rockwell didn’t get cake but he got graham crackers which to him is better than cake.
Rayas pre birthday. Grandma and Grandpa were going to be gone on her birthday so they wanted to give her her present so they could see her face and stuff when she opened it. Which was nice because it totally took the sting off everything being Eylas.
New bike! Which is exactly what she wanted!
I told you she loved those goggles.
Our little aviator.
The morning after.
They snuck outside in their jammies just to ride their bikes.
Second Visitors. Cousin Ryan and his wife Mikell and their two sweet baby girls. We had been waiting forever for them to come see us and they finally were able too. It was so fun!
Going on walks to the park with every body.
Rockwell and Brookelyn snoozing at the park. She is 6 weeks older than Rockwell and I hadn’t seen her since she was about 3 weeks old so it was so fun to see her and to see them together.
Matchy dresses. Raya, Eyla, and McKenna. Eyla keeps telling me she wants curly hair like Kenna.
Party #2. Raya Raya Raya….. She turned 2 on the 20th.
Good Morning Sunshine! Happy Birthday!
Oh, she is such my little ball of sunshine. She is like this every single morning and I can not get enough of her.
For Rayas big day we went to the down town splash pad.
I think I birthed 3 half fishes. They all love the water so much, whether it be the bath, a shower, the splash pad, the blow up pool in the back yard, or a big pool, they just love it.
Filling up their buckets. Check out the look in Eyla eye, she is so going to splash me.
Raya is nice and just fills and pours into her own hand. Eyla, however, chases me around the splash pad trying to throw water on me the whole time we are there. It is so cute because every time she laughs like it is the funniest thing she has ever done. And her laugh is so cute and contagious. I just have a blast letting her tease me.
Love Rayas face in this one
Our little Birthday Princess!
Rayas stash
Her favorite new toy “Mr. Otato Head”
Rockwell loves opening presents too.
The “New Fly” cake.
That is what we call Tinkerbell over here. The first Tinkerbell movie is “Fly” and the second movie Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure is “New Fly.” But for some reason New Fly has caught on as the description for any fairy. Grandpa has even told them that Avatar is the Scary New Fly movie. They tell everyone when they are big they get to watch the Scary New Fly. I also wonder what we will call the 3rd Tinkerbell movie coming out soon, “New New Fly??”
Love that smile. Note that “Mr. Otato Head” came along for cake.
She blew out her candles so fast that before we even sang so we had to light them again.
The Last Party. Per Bear. Aka the best Daddy and Hubby in the world.
Perry usually ends up with just a bunch of treats for his birthday and that made Rockwell pretty happy too.
The loves of my life.
May was wonderful, I’m sure the rest of our summer will rock as well. Stay tuned for our adventures.
