We had a crazy fun busy summer. Which is why I haven’t really blogged in forever, but I’m back now, for now, we’ll see how long that lasts eh?
Check out why summer is funner….beware, this is a LONG post!
mid-june, ruby at 2.5 months.
June 24th we were able to take a day trip to Manti, the town was so much smaller than I remember it. The temple more beautiful than I remember. And it was super fun because the Pageant set was set up and so I got to point out the different parts of it to Perry and the kids.
After enjoying the temple grounds for a bit I showed them my Grandparents old house and my Grandpas old Dr. Office. It was not the same. Sad.
We ate burgers, fries, and shakes at Millers. Yummy!! There we met “Abinadi” from the Pageant. That was fun, a plus for me because he is one of my favorites from the Book of Mormon.
On the way home we stopped in Cedar City to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Myers.
All Myers boys are so much the same. I love them!!
Great Grandma Myers. Nobody will ever know how grateful I am for this woman!! I hope to be just like her.
We painted Ruby’s toenails for the first time for the 4th of July swimming party.
Let me re-phrase that….Eyla and Raya painted her toenails.
We threw Char a baby shower. We couldn’t wait to meet her baby girl…..Now we have and couldn’t love her more!
Then we enjoyed the pool at Uncle Scott and Aunt Tams and partied for the 4th of July. It was Perry’s 1st vacation in 3 years. It was only 3 days and he could have used way more relaxation but we made the most of it, he loved every second.
We swam like crazy, the kids loved the slide and the diving board. They got pretty good at some tricks.
We ate tasty tasty treats!! Courtesy of Aunt Tam, she sure knows how to throw a party!
Rockwell especially loves the slushies she makes.
Like I said, we made the most of it. We were wiped out.
Waiting for the fireworks.
If you ever get a chance go to the North Salt Lake fireworks show. They do an awesome job. When we got back to St. George and on the actual day of July 4th we watched the fireworks here, Eyla kept saying these are too small and fell asleep. Haha!
Later in July we had some visitors so we went and hiked the narrows in Zions.
Driving from the parking lot to the shuttle.
Hiking. McKell is a trooper and carried Ruby a ton.
The squirrels are unbelievably tame.
This group of people stopped for 15 minutes just to watch my kids throw rocks and play in the river. They were laughing so hard at my crazy kids.
Then I turned 26. Yes, I am old. When I turned 20 I couldn’t have imagined 6 years later I would be where I am or so happy. Let the years keep coming baby!
Can you see my shoes? Perry got me the cutest ever black heels (I needed them) I was shocked at his sense of style. He says Eyla and Raya helped, but still he did awesome!
Just because she is so cute! (4 months)
Cute and getting so big, she is all over the place in her walker and sitting up like a champ.
We loved having her with us all summer and are so glad she is part of our family, can’t wait to show her all about Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and everything!!!
Finally the 3 best things about this summer….
#1) We moved. I have no pictures of our place because it is still in moving shambles. I have 4 kids under 4 = much more important things to worry about. Maybe by next year I can post pictures of our little place when it has finally come together. Haha, heres to hoping.
#2) Can you guess who this is?
Rockwell is potty trained!!! It’s so great!
and #3) aka the very best thing
LUX!
ChaCha had their baby girl, Lux Charlotte Myers, on August 23rd. I love them. We are the coolest family ever, but I will award these guys a very close second. Aren’t they so darling (I snagged this picture off their blog).
Lux is an absolute angel. We can’t get enough of her! Here are some pics of us babysitting. It was so fun!!
I can’t wait till next summer but in the meantime we are going to have so much fun.
