After we finished painting eggs we opened the Easter package that Great Grandma Andres sent.  Mostly I just love this picture because they are sitting on Perry.  (Sorry so many of these pics are so fuzzy, that is just what happens when I take pictures.)

Every time he opens an egg the candy inside drops all over the floor.

He got a little basketball thing, which he absolutely loves.  Post yet to come about his obsession with basketball.

Basking in indirect sunlight and her adoring sisters watching over her.

If she is in her crib this is where Rockwell is.

***

Ruby had her 2 week check up this week, here is her update.

7.4 lbs and 20.5 inches

Up a whole pound and 2 1/2 inches from birth weight and length and growing much to fast :(

Dr. said that when babies are on the low end of weight he has them come in again at 1 month but even though Ruby is below average on weight because she has already gained  a pound he doesn’t need to see her till 2 months.  Before I know it she is going to be looking like Rockwell.  Not that it is a bad thing I just want to enjoy my little puddle while she is still a puddle.

Introducing….

Ruby Redd Myers

4/12/2011

6 lbs 4 oz * 18 inches

She is absolutely perfect.  Labor was quick and easy.….considering it was labor.  They broke my water at 1:45 and she was born at 4:41.  I was actually surprised at how easy it was.  After Rockwell I didn’t think I could possibly have another baby without an epidural (and he was only like 6 hours of labor), but after Ruby I am signed up to do it again.  It helps when you have the awesomest doctor ever and get really lucky with the nurse who is assigned to you that day.

My other 4 amazings.

Because of the bad RSV outbreak the kids couldn’t come meet her in the room, but they waited to see her through the nursery window.

Still waiting.  They were so good and patient.  And I missed them bad.

They had been waiting and waiting for the new baby and it was so hard for them not to be able just to take her home right then.

All ready to go home then next morning.

CIMG2079

I am not good at pictures, at all, they never look good, but I keep taking them so at least we have them.

For now we just stay home and hang out together and play with our sweet little baby.

Good Morning Ruby…..

CIMG2126

They are all doing great.

Even Rockwell, he gets a little cranky at night and I have to make sure I hold him and rock him to sleep, and if I do that he can last another day without my full attention.  Eyla keeps asking when we are going to dress her up in “day” clothes.  Because she has been in “night” clothes (jammies) since she got home.  I’ll find Raya just sitting by her and looking at her, she rubs Ruby’s little legs and calls her “cutie bug.”

Perry is even more outnumbered now but I know he secretly loves it.  Because he has 4 girls who think he is the most amazing person in the world.

I secretly wish the clock would stop.   Right now life is just perfect.  I wish it would just stay like this forever.
